Visa fullständig version : 2,4 GHz förbjudet i LMA

The LMA committee meeting in March voted to ban the use of 2.4GHz equipment at all LMA public events during 2008 as a precautionary measure to counter the number of technical problems being reported with a number of manufacturers products.

Since this decision, both Horizon Hobby UK and Ripmax have agreed to be present at our main shows to provide technical expertise in identifying and resolving these worrying safety issues.

With this in mind, the LMA has withdraw the ban on the use of 2.4GHz radio control systems pending this welcome technical support with the trade experts and a satisfactory resolution to these problems.

In the circumstances, we consider this is the most expeditious way forward for all parties and modellers alike.

"Since this decision, both Horizon Hobby UK and Ripmax have agreed to be present at our main shows to provide technical expertise in identifying and resolving these worrying safety issues."

"With this in mind, the LMA has withdraw the ban on the use of 2.4GHz radio control systems pending this welcome technical support with the trade experts and a satisfactory resolution to these problems."

Man blir förvirrad.

" ....fairly lengthy proving period before we can go to the CAA and seek permission for Exemptions to include this frequency band in addition to those already approved using 35Mhz."

http://www.rcmf.co.uk/4um/index.php/topic,52505.0.html

Detta inlägg är en ganska god sammanfattning:

"I was present at the heated discussion at Wigan on Sunday.
The problems with "brown out" and "coding" caused the LMA committee to temporarily ban the use of 2.4 units at "public shows" not fly in's.
In the event of an incident where would the LMA stand as they would be fully aware of the risks involved.
The ban clearly prompted the radio suppliers into action by offering to attend LMA public shows and assist with technical advice. Hence the change of mind by the committee to allow 2.4 sets to be used.
The impression I got was that good quality 5 cell packs in models pretty much solves the brown out issue.
The Futaba coding issue, however, is a difficult one.
I agree that 35 meg sets can be badly installed just the same with the obvious consiquences.
We all want to avoid a fatality at a show don't we.
One disaster, I believe would have serious consiquences for our great hobby... "

Ok.

Då vart det lite klarare.

"...2.4 units at "public shows" not fly in's. "

"This decision does not apply to under 20kg models using 2.4GHz which will be acceptable at LMA events and special procedures will be put in place to deal with models flying on this frequency."
