EASA has published a next iteration of the security proposals:
There are some important changes compared to the previous iteration. Good for us is that the possibility to exempt us from the E-ID requirements is now changed into a possibility to include us (by default we are not affected, unless governments include these requirements in our Article 16 authorisation). But there are also a few really bad new elements, including a max operating speed limit of 19m/s across the entire open category, including for privately built UAVs (68.4kmh) as well as an E-ID requirement for the entire open category from 100gr.
We’ll do an in-depth analysis of the new proposals and get back to you in the next few days.
